This last newsletter of the year provides me with an opportunity to thank the large number of people who work so hard behind the scenes to make our Society the success that it is. I’ll single out Wendy Collett for some extra praise, as she puts this newsletter together for us every month. Well done Wendy!
In the last month we have enjoyed Richard Box’s entertaining presentation of Christmas customs and Anne Sebba’s fascinating account of the changing reputation of Wallis Simpson. Members also enjoyed the visit to Kensington Palace and the walks around the Isle of Dogs.
I commend for your attention the article on Church Recording in this Newsletter. This is yet another facet of our varied programme of activities.
Lastly, on behalf of the Committee, I would like to wish all our members a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. We certainly have an exciting programme of events before us.
